Vinyl Draught Radio is adding to their line up with Red Dirt Republic, a showcase of Texas country music, hosted by Matt Sweatt. The show will be sponsored in part by Corona Premier, the first new beer the Corona brand has launched in 29 years. The hour long show will feature such Texas Country artists as Robert Earl Keen, Kevin Fowler, Randy Rogers Band, Whiskey Meyers, Zane Williams and many more. Corona Premier sponsored artist Cody Canada will be a part of the rotation, as well. "There's a huge audience for this type of show" said Vinyl Draught Radio President Doug Meisinger. "Musically, it doesn't quite fit in my wheelhouse, but that applies to a lot of music. One of my closest friends is always talking to me about these artists I need to check out and most of them were on Matt's playlist. Looks like I'll get to hear them all." I spoke with show host Matt Sweatt about his ideas for the show. "I really want to spotlight local and regional singer songwriters. Their music and their live shows. I think we will also be a great resource to promote the local venues, fairs and festivals where these artists play." Matt would also like to expand the show to include involvement and performances from the artists he plays. "I want to give the listeners a chance to get to know these artists as people. We'll do this through in-studio and phone interviews. Even some on-site interviews. Exclusive on-air performances are going to be a big part of Red Dirt Republic." Red Dirt Republic debuts Wednesday, July 11th at 7pm and will run in that time slot weekly, with an encore airing every Friday at 7pm. Red Dirt Republic can be heard exclusively on Vinyl Draught Radio
