Mosquito spraying throughout League City is provided by Galveston County Mosquito Control District from late March through early November. This includes routine spraying by truck and aerial spraying.

GCMCD has not begun to spray for mosquitoes due to winds, weather conditions and low reports of mosquitos throughout the area. Spraying will begin in the coming weeks with the up-to-date schedule available at www.galvestoncountytx.gov/cs/mc/Pages/Spray-Schedule.aspx. Residents may also contact the Galveston County Mosquito Control at (800) 842-5622 to request spraying in a specific area.

Significant rainfall levels and the climate increases the likeliness of mosquitos throughout our area. The Galveston County Health District currently has no confirmed cases of the Zika virus at this time. However, residents are reminded that the best protection against mosquito-borne illnesses, including the Zika virus, is prevention.
